Genteel Overnight Accommodations in the Mackinac Tradition
What better way to spend your time on beautiful Mackinac Island than in one of the older family homes?
Our house was built in the mid-1850s during the period when the Mackinac Island fishing industry was expanding. The industry was developed by the many Irish families who came as a result of the potato famine. The home was left vacant for a period of about forty years, ending when a new foundation, heating system and bathrooms were installed in 1957.
The bright, airy bedrooms are pleasantly appointed with antique furnishings and comfortable beds. View our rooms and rates...
We include with our rooms a continental breakfast served in our family dining room. Hot mugs of coffee or tea, freshly baked pastries, and ice cold juice provide a delicious beginning to your day. The conversation offers a chance to learn more about the island and its history.
For a special treat, visit Mackinac in the off-season. Winter is very beautiful on the island. We are open year-round! View photos of Bogan Lane Inn in the winter...
